Do you have a passion and talent for photography and/or video content production? Or do you simply enjoy posting your fun daily experiences to your Instagram Stories? If so, we want to hear from you.

Students are the heart and soul of SOAS and we want to amplify your voices through our varied digital platforms.

SOAS is looking to recruit 4 students to become digital content creators across a range of channels, including Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat and the SOAS Blog.

Successful applicants will be creating and publishing content on channels that have a significant reach and high engagement. Our followers are members of the SOAS community, prospective students, mainstream/independent journalists and media organisations, politicians, NGOs and policy-makers.

As a SOAS Digital Ambassador, you will get to take an active role in defining and communicating the SOAS voice to the outside world.

The package

Successful applicants will be contracted for 10 hours per month. Working hours are flexible. Pay is £10.20 per hour.

How to apply

Show off your skills – we want you to produce a 1-2 minute vlog/story on a topic of your choosing; or write a 400-600 word commentary piece to be published on the SOAS Blog*.

  • Be creative, it can be about a typical day at SOAS, coverage of an event, vox pops with fellow students on something happening in the media…anything, just be passionate and engaging.
  • Send it to by 5pm on Wednesday 31 October to be eligible for the pilot scheme.

*Your submission may be used on SOAS’s social media platforms (Twitter/Facebook/Blogs). You will be notified before this takes place.
